Registration Policies

Workshop Registration & Class Size

Nelson Facilitation LLC offers facilitation and negotiation workshops for groups of approximately 25–30 participants. Keeping workshops within this range allows participants to engage meaningfully, practice new skills, ask questions, and benefit from an interactive learning environment.

If you expect fewer than 25 participants, we will attempt to combine your registration with other professionals seeking similar training. This allows us to provide valuable instruction while maintaining a viable workshop experience.

For agencies and organizations seeking private instruction, internal training can be customized to address specific communication, facilitation, negotiation, mediation, or conflict-management needs.

Workshop Confirmation Policy

After completing registration, you will receive an automated email confirmation. This email provides important registration information and includes a MY TICKETS link where you can review your payment status.

Please check your payment status carefully.

You are not officially registered until your payment status is marked PAID. Completing the registration form or receiving the automated confirmation email alone does not guarantee a completed registration.

Workshop Refund Policy

Our workshop refund policy depends on how far in advance the cancellation is received.

One month or more before the workshop: Tuition will be refunded, less a $50 administrative fee.

Less than one month before the workshop: Tuition is non-refundable.

Each workshop may have a specific refund cutoff date. Please review the workshop’s posted details and exact cutoff date before registering.

This policy allows us to manage instructor preparation, participant materials, scheduling, and limited workshop capacity fairly.

Workshop Cancellation Policy

Nelson Facilitation LLC reserves the right to cancel a workshop if the minimum number of registered participants is not reached.

When Nelson Facilitation LLC cancels a workshop, participants will receive one month’s notice of cancellation and a full refund of tuition.

We understand that professional training requires advance planning, particularly for government agencies, nonprofit organizations, and resource-management teams. We make every effort to communicate cancellations clearly and provide appropriate notice.

Internal Training for Organizations

Many Nelson Facilitation LLC training programs are delivered internally for private organizations and agencies. Internal workshops can be adapted to address your organization’s current challenges and future professional development needs.

This option can be especially useful when a team needs consistent facilitation methods, stronger communication skills, better meeting practices, or practical approaches to negotiation and conflict management.

If your organization would like customized training, contact us to discuss your objectives, audience, format, and training needs.

Discounts & Special Registration Rates

We offer two primary registration discounts:

Early-Bird Discount: A $50 discount is available when registration is completed by the posted early-bird cutoff date for the applicable workshop.

Group Discount: Organizations registering four or more participants from the same organization may receive a $50 group discount per registration, subject to the workshop’s stated terms.

The group discount facilitation training option can be particularly valuable for agencies and organizations that want several team members to develop a shared foundation in communication, facilitation, negotiation, or environmental conflict management.

Important Discount Rule

Only one discount may be applied to each registration. Discounts cannot be combined.

For example, a participant may qualify for either the early-bird discount or the applicable group discount, but both discounts cannot be applied to the same registration.
